Meditation expert Erin Fogel teaches Roger Hailes how to alter his consciousness. Start with a quiet space that’s free of distractions. Do a little light exercise, which helps you rest more comfortably. Sit cross-legged, or even in a straight-backed chair. Close your eyes, and you’re ready to start taking slow, even breathes, in and out. When your mind starts to wander, focus back on your breathing. Once you get the hang of it, even a minute or two a day can be pure bliss.
